Thank you for reading! We’re just getting started on this Prayer and Mission Center project. We’re excited about what God has already done and about the great things he is going to do in the future. I plan to use this blog to keep you up-to-date on the project and to share the back-story of all God has done in preparation for this project in the lives of many people.
The amazing picture above was taken across the cove from Solid Rock Ministries. It was the fourth of July one summer and I had set my camera up to take a continuing series of photos of fireworks going off around the lake. Little did I know that God was going to put on His own “fireworks” display. My camera just happened to be in the right place at the right time to capture this photo.
There are so many amazing stories about how God established Solid Rock and how God is doing an amazing work through CDF, especially in Nigeria. You might think that those involved were in the right place at the right time to be able to see what He has done. But I don’t believe that is how God works. Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” God has prepared this work in advance and now it is time to move forward. We don’t know the extent of what God wants to do through us, through this ministry and with these facilities, but God does. So come alongside us, pray with us, join us if you can and then watch God do something beautiful.
God’s Workmanship
The hard part about knowing our purpose is that God doesn’t reveal everything to us all at once. I’ve been asked many times about this project. What are we doing and why are we doing it? The best answer I can give you today is that we are following God in faith. Please read our other web pages to get more details. This new building is not God’s workmanship, we are.
I’m really happy for you that God has put this work on front of you! It seems to have gathered a lot of momentum since you first mentioned it and is quite breathtaking! For me it’s a sure sign that God’s at work! So I’m sure it’s going to be quite a ride and adventure! Of course I will be praying for His will and guidance and also a hedge of protection from from the ill will of the enemy.
